The Tapestry Building is in Devonshire Square, London and benefits from being a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. Formerly a warehouse and built by the East India Trading Company, it was sensitively converted by a developer around ten years ago. The three listed blocks now feature
the Fish Market seafood restaurant on the lower floors and 14 residential apartments on the upper floors, with roof top plant spaces.
We were appointed to undertake inspection and review of the existing installed air conditioning systems serving all residential units. This was undertaken whilst residents were in situ and this required robust planning to obtain access to all the apartments. The current system was requiring regular and expensive maintenance callouts. We assessed the condition of the air conditioning (AC) systems to determine the root cause of the issues, then produced a report of findings.
We also provided recommendations on the required remedial and replacement works, along with providing the associated budgetary costs. We completed the survey works in Q3 2022 with the replacement works scheduled in for Q2 2023.
