Located on the site of the former Mocha Parade Shopping Centre, a new 21,000sqft Lidl store has been delivered in Salford. MNE undertook the detailed design of MEP services for the new store, which included ventilation, cooling, electrical and plumbing work.
A large central AHU (15m3/hr) was prescribed for the project, with wrap around coil and thermal wheel providing heat recovery, with tempered air from a dedicated DX circuit. VRF cooling was provided to the back of house areas and communication room. Electrical distribution was provided via high level catenary wire suspended containment whilst small power & lighting fed form a central bespoke distribution control panel, with central BMS control.
The store sits on a 126,000sqft site, with further buildings being delivered adjacent the Lidl, including a healthcare centre.
